Come on down to Red Bird Brewing in Kelowna for a free live music event featuring Mount Rushka, a powerhouse rock band from Fernie, B.C. Mount Rushka pays homage to what they call ‘The Mount Rushmore of Rock,’ celebrating the legends of rock with a sound that’s both nostalgic and fresh. Their music is inspired by iconic artists from the past, blending vintage vibes with a modern edge that will have you both shaking your booty and pounding your fist in the air. The band’s name gives a nod to the rock of their mountain town, famously the birthplace of Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson, while also referencing a local figure named Rushka.
 
 
Mount Rushka’s standout members include twin siblings Will Ripley and Alanna Laurin, along with Alanna’s husband and lead singer Adam Laurin. The band is rounded out by drummer Aaron Wrench, a Berklee College of Music graduate. This tight-knit group brings a rock-solid background with touring credits alongside bands like The Tea Party, One Bad Son, Rev Theory, Papa Roach, and Shinedown. Currently selling out local 200+ capacity shows, they have released three singles and are working on a full-length 14-song album, with upcoming tours in BC and Alberta.
